Robert Rigby Architects Ltd. in Berkshire was an early adopter of Noveos, and the software continues to underpin their practice management to this day.
Before implementing Noveos, they worked with a system of subsidiary MS-Excel spreadsheets designed to roll up into a “master” spreadsheet of all the work in process. A lot of seniors’ time was spent in the collation of data and in extensive calculations to arrive at correct and timely invoice amounts.
“There were concerns about how we’d manage the one-off effort and initial load-up of data but it’s our view that it was very much worth the investment of time. We were comfortably running with Noveos across the practice by about 2-3 months in”.
“We got efficient time and cost input, and easy invoicing procedures, just as we’d hoped after seeing the system demonstrated”.
“One unexpected benefit, though, that did emerge was the solution to a constant problem with our old systems – that of missing chargeable costs when they were incurred, and having to go back and bill the client (assuming we actually still could) anything up to 12 months later. That just doesn’t happen any more because we can capture both planned and potential additional costs as we go”.
“Since the beginning, Noveos have been easy to work with. They continue to listen to clients like us and to extend the capabilities of the system”.
